This morning i got a text from a number i don’t know. It was a picture message. A body builder guy appeared on the screen. I decided i wanted to know who it was so i replied to it “who are you?” expecting it to be a prank from one of my friends. Instead i heard someone around me saying the same thing and we both looked over at each other. Two other people received the same texts. We all looked and started to talk to each other about it. In my next class i got a new text from this unknown person, “Marcos Hernandez” was the name they used. it was a name not familiar to me. We all knew it was someone from the school we go to, but no one named Marcos Hernandez goes to school with us. We looked up the name and found out its a famous artist. Right, like a famous artist decided to text us. I replied wanting to know how they got my number. Slowly the texts spread throughout the school. Anybody we talked to about the “outbreak” got a text. Some of the texts were very inappropriate and wrong. It wasn’t something you should send to other people. It started to get to the younger grades like sophomores, freshmen and even a few middle schoolers. Most texts were about a guy in our school, saying he was that guy’s boyfriend. It wasn’t true, and the guy got very creeped out. Me and my best friend went to the vice principle’s office and talked to him about it. I showed him all the texts and the guy who was being lied about was called to the office. I got a picture of a very overweight guy and I went to show it to the vice principle. He decided to call law enforcement. It was something viewed first as a joke, nothing too harmful. But then it went out of control and a little creepy. Somehow the creeper found out something about me that almost nobody knows and I still don’t know how they got my number. Maybe we will find out who this Marcos really is. But for now we wait for the next text hoping for a real name or a clue to help the police.
Bullying
Being Bullied
Being bullied could be one of the hardest times you could go through. It normally happens when your in middle school or high school. Bullies choose their targets carefully. They choose the people that don’t really fit in. It could be based off of how you look or act. It could also be about who your friends are. There are many reasons why someone will bully another person, but none of these reasons give them the right to bully someone.
Bullying has a huge impact on how you feel. Fear. One of the biggest emotions people get when they get bullied. Afraid to wake up and go to school. Fear slowly takes over their life.
It can also have a effect on your health. People that are afraid might not go to the places with a lot of people. The don’t get lunch at the cafeteria because they are afraid they might be made fun of. Some people could become very stressed from being bullied, They could start getting headaches, stomach pains, etc. It could also give you mental health problems. Some of those mental health problems include: stress, depression, low self-esteem, and even anxiety.
Signs of bullying: Failing classes, not wanting to go to school, mood changes, low self-esteem, depression, eating problems, self harm, bruises, complains of pain (head aches, stomach pains etc.) and sleeping problems.
Even those who bully could have problems too. They can become rejected by their friends/peers. They are also at risk of failing classes in school. They probably have been bullied themselves so they bully others to feel in control. They also probably have bad social skills.
